Students are given assignments meant to encourage experimentation and creativity. One such assignment is to take pictures of something that makes them sad or mad.

In order to get them shooting immediately, we avoid diving into the more technical aspects of photography.

Our goal is to help students become more observant about the world around them and to learn to use photography to communicate what they think and feel.
